Following a 37-year career at P&G Prestige, Donald J. Loftus takes on a new challenge.
Donald J. Loftus announced his retirement as president and chief executive officer of P&G Prestige, North America as of April 1, leaving way for his successor Dennis Curran, another long-time P&G beauty executive.

But at the end of the first week of April came word that his retirement had been very short-lived—if at all. Loftus almost immediately took on a new dual role as president of Parlux Ltd. and executive vice president of Perfumania Inc., its relatively new parent company.
Loftus’ more than 37-year career included fragrance sales and marketing and management positions in both retail and product development—both cited as ideal background for his new position.

Curran has been with P&G for 26 years, and has worked with beauty brands such as Olay, Cover Girl, Pantene, Old Spice and Secret. Before joining the prestige division, Curran led P&G’s business at CVS.

Parlux fragrance brands include designer and celebrity brands from Rihanna, Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Vince Camuto and Nicole Miller. Loftus has indicated that one from Jay-Z will soon hit the market.
